Waratah brooch by Grace Gleddish

This Red Waratah Wildflower Brooch is based on linocut design of a Tasmanian Waratah, by Tasmanian artist Grace Gledfish. The Tasmanian Waratah is a rare and vibrant flower native Tasmania, growing in the wild on the slopes of Mt Wellington where Grace has her studio.

The design is cut and etched into Tasmanian Oak ply, and then hand coloured and given a coating of matte varnish to protect it from the elements.

The brooch is 7cm tall and has a lockable brooch pin firmly attached to the back.
